Italian Car Brands | The Best Of Italian Cars

You cannot go wrong with Italian car brands. Their quality and accuracy is very high. Italian automotive industry provides a wide variety of powerful and gorgeous car brands. Italian car brands have great fuel efficiency but all brands today are marketing this feature anyway due to the economy.

Italian car brands are going to be discussed below and you will see that they too are in the top5 globally. Fiat makes a lot of cars in Italy and is the fisrt Italian car brand we cover below. You will notice a prominent family element to these Italian car brands.

Fiat

Fiat

At first, I thought that Fiat was a small company but as it turns out, they area large group. Just like the VW group in Germany owns Porche amd many others, the same is true of the Fiat group. They started the company in 1899 and they started buying their competitors in 1967 and until 1993. Fiat now owns parts of Lancia, Ferrari, Autobianchi, Alfa Romeo, and Maserati. Youch! This is what I call a monopoly. No wonder all those cars are part of the expensive car brands. This Italian auto brand won the "European Car of the Year" award many times.

Ferrari

Ferrari

I have yet to meet anyone that does not know or like Ferrari. The this Italian auto started in 1982 and the actualy name is Scuderia Ferrari. You can find Ferrary in F1 racing and street-legal cars. After world war 2 they started catering to the street-legal consumer market. Ferrary was a racing team for Alfa Romeo. Natually, the headquarters are in Maranello and this city has red buildings too just like the red cars of Ferarri! In the USA, it all started in 1949 when Luigi Chinetti won a race driving a 166M Barchetta.

Lamborghini

Lamborghini

Mr. Ferruccio Lamborghini created this Italian auto brand in 1963 and what an amazing brand it is. The car designs are just amazing. They have this iconic curve that extents from the front to the back and a very low ceiling. One thing that really amazed me is the 'launch control' feature found in some lambo cars. The comapny got into bankruptcy and sold to Audi. Ever since, they produced other exotice car brands like Jalpa, Diablo, and Gallardo. The Jalpa stopped in 1988 so those models will look a little classic/old.

Maserati

Maserati

Maserati was created by a family and now owned by Fiat. They make cars that some will consider cooler than Ferrari even. Their logo looks evil.
